Which has a lot to do with motivation, they're kind of a boring team to watch, and I just get frustrated watching them. I'd honestly rather watch the Rangers with my girlfriend (a Rangers fan), or say, Predators home games (always a fun atmosphere). When I do tune in, I don't see them outplaying anyone.

I would however say that if you think that with a sample size of 50+ games and with relatively few injuries, the team can somehow be significantly better than it's record despite getting consistently good goaltending... Well, optimism is nice.

I can't remember a game this season where I thought we significantly outplayed the opponent but lost. I'm sure I've seen some of those, as they happen every season. Sure sometimes we're a bit lucky or unlucky, or goaltending is the difference, but overall I feel our record is about right.

Outplayed but lost = every game in th recent losing streak, except maybe Tampa Bay.
