I think people are kidding themselves that he would be hugely valued by anyone though. He is an elite skater who can carry the puck out at times, he is an ok passer, but fumbles those repeatedly, and he's a middle of the road offensive guy who seems to have a 4 pt. game every once in a while that boosts his numbers.

He is a black hole at times defensively and his shot is laughable. (everytime i hear a pbp guy say "over to Brodie and he shoots"...i fully expect that to be followed up with "and its blocked") which does speak to his hockey IQ...it really isnt very high. Usually putting it right into a set of shin pads, regardless if the opposition or his own team. Also he gives the puck away far too often...something few people mention.

He really can play a lot of minutes though, and that is valuable to any squad.

He reminds me of Mike Green actually. What would one give up for him?

In the end I hope he does get dealt but only in the right deal. Though that leaves a very big minute void on the back end, and i really hope its for a RW who can score 25 goals a year.
Pretty much agree with all of this. I do think green goes for a late 1st though, or a collection of 2nd/3rds. Brodie has more value.
