Problem is he's being (over) paid for the Cy Young he won a couple years ago and for once I'd like to see this team get away from $3 million + players who are 30 or older deteriorating away to nothing in the bottom half of our roster. Stajan is a UFA? Might as well acquire Smith amirite? No!
Then to top it all off he ain't coming here for free. Gotta give something up to acquire him.
