The effort was actually very good for at least 58 minutes tonight, which for most NHL teams is usually good enough to win most games. I thought they played a strong 3rd period and I didn't think they sat back too much at all. They had complete control of this game and were a mere 2 minutes way from a hard fought two points...
And then all of a sudden Frolik has an uncharacteristic brain fart, the team collapses like a cheap tent, and suddenly it's game over in a matter of seconds. I'd say it was their fragile nature that did them in tonight, not a lack of effort. Of course the craptastic PP didn't help either.
