The rebuild always has a chance of ultimately failing, if while bottoming out, the team does not attain enough high end talent. So, yes though maybe not this season or next, but at some point a blow it up is not out of the question should there be a realization that this core isn't skilled enough to win in the new high speed high skill nhl.
Gulutzan is not a good coach, but all I'm saying is the flames played a good game tonight outside 2 brain farts and a useless pp. That too against the best team in the conference.
The team is not a coaching change away from being a contender, just like they aren't a player away from being one either. It's sad and depressing, especially with a gm handing out top picks, and ownership threatening to leaves town because folks aren't willing to give them hundreds of millions so that the owners can make more profits.

My point, is that doing nothing will result in no changes. Treliving thinks they are close (the picks) so they need to make a coaching change to better determine if the talent level is inadequate.
