They do have another year to trade him, and can get at least a late first round pick in a deadline deal next year. If all they can get is a low first now, then the Celtics and everyone else who has a low first can make the same offer, but possibly with better young players to add on. There's rumours the Cavs want to try and get both DeAndre and Lou Williams, but that has to be for the Nets pick and a couple guys. Now the Nets pick is looking more and more like it'll be a top 6-7 pick and not a top 3 pick, but top 6-7 is more valuable to the Cavs who are likely to be blowing it up this summer (or more to the point, LeBron is gone).
