Point still stands that teams have done it before, and yielded positive results. Penguins is a obvious example. Even Blackhawks technically.

It happens for sure. But not usually as a result of a team not meeting expectations. If the coach loses the room. Or the gm and coach have a toxic relationship, then yeah.
If there were rumblings of that type of thing happening I would be singing a different tune. But losing? Nah. That is off season replacement stuff.
