At this point, right now, Brodie isn't that great. He could be good and he could get worse but right now he's not as good as we'd like him to be. Right now Hoffman is the kind of trigger man the Flames need to help spark their offense and PP. It could go either way but at this point now, it's more than fair to deal Brodie for Hoffman IMO.

While I still think Brodie is the more valuable trade piece, I wouldn’t really be upset with this deal. I do prefer it to moving any of our prospects or doing anything with 2019 first round pick.
