my issue with this is that you're dealing in the unknown. What if the sens move him to the right side and he's even worse than he is now, is that a fleecing? What if Brodie plays the exact same as he is now but Hoffman comes in and scores 30 more goals because he's with better forwards?
At this point, right now, Brodie isn't that great. He could be good and he could get worse but right now he's not as good as we'd like him to be. Right now Hoffman is the kind of trigger man the Flames need to help spark their offense and PP. It could go either way but at this point now, it's more than fair to deal Brodie for Hoffman IMO.
