Bennett might turn out to be an amazing player in the future, I'd still trade him in the right deal. I don't know if I'd give Bennett up for Hoffman, I'd go more for Brodie+ for Hoffman but if we could get a higher caliber guy like Stone or another good young player, I would trade him because BT has made it clear that they are going for it in the next couple of years. The Flames need good players now if they want to make any kind of noise.

Every player on this team should be tradeable, as much as I like a lot of them I would trade them all if it made the team better. If the sens made Stone available would you not give up Bennett (as part of the deal) for him? If the Isles were going to trade Tavares and he would agree to an extension, wouldn't you trade Bennett (as part of the package) for him? I don't think Bennett is garbage and he still might turn out to be amazing but the team needs help now. I don't think they should just give him away but they should be open to trading him.
