Yeah they do matter. Especially if that's what we can expect for the remainder of the season.
I am hoping for Backlund to find his game again. But if he can't prove to find it again without Frolik on the wing, I would take that into consideration for contract talks.
No one here knows for sure what the actual discussion are/will be. Your opinion is as good as mine.
