The most likely scenario would have been 3 ties under old Pre-Bettman OT rules.
Jets game for sure would have been a tie, other two are debatable but doubtful anybody scores if it's still 5v5 OT like it was before Bettman.
Would the people lamenting "3 straight losses" be happier or sadder if it was 3 straight ties? Honest question
And really this stretch has not been as bad as people want to believe (outside of the brutal Buffalo game)
Jets: Shots 35-31 for the Jets, Scoring Chances (5v5) 17-17, (SO/Tie is a justified result - although they W if the disallowed Goal rightly counts)
Sabres: Shots 33-33, Scoring Chances (5v5) 22-13 for Buffalo (Just a complete stinker by the Flames - deserved a reg. L)
Kings: Shots 31-27, Scoring Chance (5v5) 29-15 for Calgary (Dominating effort, deserved a reg. W)
Really the last three games should have been 1-1-1 for 3 points, instead they were 0-0-3 for 3 points. In the end it's the same outcome for the Flames, but the tough part is giving the Kings those 2 points they completely didn't deserve last night.
Honestly the only real issue at this point is the PP is literally costing us games (posted in detail in the Gulutzan thread about it). At 5V5 this team is generating chance, and stingy defensively, which is all you can ask for.
