It's becoming an epidemic. I can't believe the places that beg for tips nowadays. But there is a silver lining... It's helping me get used to saying no, and punching in a big fat zero when asked. Sorry, Taco Bell. If you need more than your posted prices, raise your prices. I highly doubt the staff are getting a cut of that, anyway. The friggin owners are pocketing that guilt money, so no, F that noise.

And the tip jars at places like liquor stores? You're sitting on a stool watching a movie on your ipad! I carried my beer to your counter, handed you cash, and all you had to do was give me change. You have absolutely got to be kidding me if you think I'm tipping you.

I would be all for eradicating tipping from Canada. Go ahead and charge me more for the food at the pub, and pay the server more. Tipping is the reason I never pay cash at pubs anymore. Those annoying amounts where it's sort of like if you don't forfeit your change entirely, you're being cheap.
