Yeah I would tend to agree. However, the smell of pot doesn't stick to things like tobacco does. You can still smell cigarettes in the halls of Vegas hotels. Pot scent tends to dissipate over night and doesn't stick to walls and furniture.
I want to add something kind of funny that goes along with the Kelso "does that detect any kind of smoke?" idiot line from That 70's show. Our smoke alarms are super sensitive. The toaster sets it off on its lowest setting. Super annoying. But I've blown pot smoke directly into it and had nothing happen. Not sure why.
