If I'm trading for Kane, and especially a Brodie for Kane deal, it better really include a lot of incentives.
There is no way that Kane isn't going to test the market, he's not signing a deal anywhere.
So if I'm going to trade Brodie, and Buffalo wants to get rid of Kane
Brodie + 3rd for Kane and Buffalo's first (IF Kane signs top 10 protected, if he doesn't not protected).
If Buffalo doesn't like it, they can trade the rights to Kane this summer for a 3rd round pick before free agency.
He's that player that if I'm a Flames I take a shot at a ridiculous trade and if I don't get it I walk away whistling.
