That was a textbook example of officials managing a game with expected results. The Flames were perfectly set and playing within their game, with a few hiccups and some sloppy hockey due to 5 days off.

Tkachuk is in a battle towards the Jets net. If anything, the defender did his job perfectly by keeping Tkachuk away from the crease and essentially out of the play...Tkachuk doesn't make a pushing motion, doesn't fall on top of him, just continues regular momentum towards the net. In the process, defender falls and grazes his own goaltender while tied up.

Call? Goaltender interference. Momentum and play completely changes after that call. Jets are on the verge of tying it, instead of being down 2 in a rough period.

The officiating in this league needs a serious review. I won't speculate corruption or favoritism, but the consistency and ability to abide by rules as they are written are in major question.

Whether it's the Flames or any other team, it completely ruins the viewing experience and entertainment value, and it is heavily impacting the credibility of the league and game.
