Very true statement.
However he would have stories in general, same as the person who has travelled the world would have stories, so would the guy or girl who climbed mount Everest or done anything else out of the ordinary.
In my experience, being worldly makes you a better conversationalist and being a good conversationalist is very important when dealing with people.
