On Spezza being a healthy scratch for DAL, as @OvertimeScottB notes, it’s been framed as a one off, a la Brent Seabrook. Still, it’s bound to get people talking about his future in DAL:

Worth noting is Spezza has a full NMC and a modified NTC (10 teams he can be traded to) but it’s really more like a full NTC. DAL can only trade Spezza in a specified window each year. Next window opens up 48 hours after the 2018 Stanley Cup ends and closes on Sept. 1, 2018.
