Jump is a terrible choice of words.
He's literally standing still and is trying to lean into him to separate him from the puck to negate the scoring chance.
The part where he comes off the ice is the physics of the force of the collision, which as has been mentioned over and over - is Aho blinding running into him with no awareness.
