You say that with hindsight. It's a fast game, and no one would have expected Aho to come in at that angle with his head down trying to skate through Gio because he didn't know he was there.

Suggesting the decision of the NHL Player Safety Department will validate who's take is right is pretty odd. They're as wildly inconsistent and inept as NHL officials.
You said Gio "made contact with the head" and that just isn't correct from a targeting or principal point of contact regard.
