What a terrible article. I love how they have to take time to claim that the left is mostly responsible for telling people not to do things, when this is clearly Pearl clutchers on the right.
The reality is there are many religious zealots on the right who spend a lot of time telling people how to be moral, and that's likely exactly what happened here
