The exciting part about Jankowski for me is that he's doing this with Hathaway and Bennett as wingers. I'm a big Hathaway fan, love his energy, but he's not a top end player currently. Bennett was rotten before Janko arrived, and although his play has undoubtably improved, some of it has got to be Janko's impact, and some of it has got to be that he's in less bad situations with Janko on the ice as well.
The 3rd line has generally received favourable zone starts and opposition line matching, but GG is not a coach that really emphasizes line matching compared with other NHL coaches, so they've had their share of adversity.
