its early, but i agree that high end defenders are more valuable than wingers, so Drouin has a long way to go to catch up IMO...
cool story bro: a buddy of mine plays on a soccer team with Yzerman's brother in Ottawa... said that in all the pre-draft interviews, Drouin was pumped up and no negatives or red flags came out during the interviews.
needless to say, that didn't prove accurate...
