Fair points - I had forgotten this was not a jury trial. Not that I am questioning the impartiality of juries generally - although a jury in this case, if tried today, might have weighed the evidence or considered the credibility of the accusers differently (I suppose at the risk of a mistrial). Just wondering if the outcome might have been different today.
