I am not excusing what the player said, it was classless.

But some people seem to be missing what was said. He didn't say it was the worst dump in NA, he said it was the worst place in the NHL to play. That's 31 major cities. We're not talking Stockton or Regina here, we're talking Nashville and San Jose and Boston.

As someone who lived in Winnipeg for a significant period of time, I can't argue with him. It isn't the greatest place to visit.

Still a dooshbaggy and unnecessary comment though.
