Her comments echo Matt Damon's initial comments -- where he said "There's a difference between, you know, patting someone on the butt and rape or child molestation, right? Both of those behaviours need to be confronted and eradicated, without question, but they shouldn't be conflated, right?" -- which were spot on, and to borrow wording I read elsewhere, 'banal in their obviousness'. Yet how often do you see Al Franken mentioned in the same paragraph as Harvey Weinstein, as though they did the same thing?
