A better question would be: what forces you to avoid any place there might be a nude child?

I can’t say it makes sense to avoid a place where you might see a naked body. Do you stare in change rooms? Do you stare at breastfeeding mothers? Do you stare at nude beaches? I don’t. And if you don’t, then I can’t imagine why nudity would even bother you if you’re not looking at it.

Calgary city councilor I believe said something about concerns over images they use to promote their events online...they have likely cleaned things up a bit because I can no long find the image
The NGR group did not promote a reading of children’s books with the same image, they used an image of popular children’s books. Their group is also unaffiliated, 18+, and is probably where you saw the image (if you’re thinking of the image of the book that seems to be standing in for a vagina, it’s on that group’s page, not the Nuder Recreation page. Different organisations).

I haven’t seen a councillor say that though, and by all accounts there doesn’t seem to be evidence they had suggestive images. You’ve got to have some sort of link.
