But if you're Jagr, you've played a hall of fame career, have a girlfriend sitting with you through a Canadian winter (going back down to -25 starting tonight), have to do nothing but hard training and rehabbing followed by playing on the fourth line when you're finally good, with no hope of getting back up to speed.
He likely took all this in after his last tweak and said "If I get another minor injury I'll hang 'em up".

Huh? If this was Jagr's call - he simply calls a press conference and announces his retirement. Instead we have a leak to the media that "the Flames and Jagr are working on a separation agreement" ... In other words, Jagr was told his services won't be needed here any longer, but in deference to his legend we will be patient and allow him to come up with an exit plan that is amenable to both sides.
