A very entertaining game that had the look of another Gulutzan era loss. Was pretty dominant during the majority of the game, but sagged after the shorty. That was the opportunity to take the game and salt it away, but the PP worked against the team and gave the Ducks new life. It was then cover the eyes and hope. The Ducks uncharacteristically sagged in the final minute, and the top line made them pay with a brilliant goal. Kudos to the boys for sticking with it and capitalizing on a mistake.

The Flames were able to win because they have a very talented team. If this team had a good coaching staff we wouldn't be concerned about scraping into the playoffs in a wild card spot, we'd be having all the other Pacific teams chasing us the way Vegas is. Never discount the efficacy of quality coaching. No magic required. Just good systems, better preparation, and ultimate motivation. No stick tossing into the private boxes either.
