I'm fairly worried about the opposite.
I liked this one quite a bit, and I think most of the fan outrage is directed at them not tying in stupid little back stories and Easter Eggs that would have derailed the movie more.
For me I really hope they don't listen to the masses and keep doing what they've done in VII & VIII.
For example I hope in the lead up to IX everyone becomes really invested in the slave kid at the end with the resistance medallion that seemingly force pulled the broom to himself then stared off into the stars, and then they just do nothing with that thread. My feeling is the fans will demand that boy was Anakin reincarnate who came back to do it right this time or something stupid like that, and it would be much better for them to just leave it and say the galaxy is a big magical place.
