Are you seriously criticizing me for saying what I'd do if I were Gulutzan? You, sir, may be the one confused. Do you know where you are right now?

Easy.
Assuming my motives and imagination are properly calibrated, the Calgary Flames are not in a playoff spot.
Who to blame? The coaches? Sure. After that, then who? The GM? Sure. After that, then who? The underperforming vets? Wait. Isn't there someone else in a leadership role? A captain perhaps? Who's accountable for an underperforming vet? Well, surely that vet is at foremost accountable for their own lackluster production on ice. But beyond that who is accountable? What have they done to address the problem? What results are there to show their actions are effective?
You may call that hypothetical. But let me take you back to the fact that cannot be denied: the Calgary Flames are not in a playoffs spot. That's the whole point of all of this, to make the playoffs and have a shot at the Stanley Cup.
Does Giordano buy his mother flowers on Valentine's Day? I don't care. Are the Flames in the playoffs?
