Well that episode didn't really restore my faith in this show, but it sounds like they will be doing stand alone episodes until the last episode which will probably wrap up the series as Anderson has said that there's no way she'll be back

A lot of dialogue in this one, and a lot of self narratives with the CSM and Mulder. Pretty much all the alien stuff last year didn't happen, Scully had a seizure vision, and the visions came from William, her and Mulder . . . no wait CSM son. Oh and apparently beyond being the architect of the new world, power broker shadow player CSM Feinsteened Skully and knocked her up with Science. Oh and the Syndicate wanted to kill her to stop CSM from destroying the world for some reason or another because science. DD and GA basically zero emotioned, zero emoted their way through this whole episode, probably to receive their pay checks and Science.
