88 is roadside sanctions. It is entirely to do with blowing over 0.05 and giving the officer the ability to take away your licence for 3, 15 or 30 days depending on if you are a repeat offender. Adding the amendment there now forces an officer to tell the accused they have the ability for a second breath test. It's a good change, but it has nothing to do with what we are talking about. 88.1 is Alcohol-related administrative licence suspension. Bill 29 is changing it significantly. It's repealing large sections, and giving the officers the abilities discussed ad nauseam.
