I think it cheapens the proposal to have a photographer there. Let this happen between you guys - it's unnecessary to have somebody hiding around the corner with a telephoto lens and pretty tacky, IMO. It can't help but take some of the authenticity out of the moment - you'll be aware of the camera and it would only make sense to position yourself at a good angle for the photographer, and to try to look cool/suave/romantic/whatever. Who wants to be thinking of crap like that while proposing?
