And even if it does, if Hamonic is a key piece in the Flames over the next few seasons and we see some playoff success, it could still turn out to be better than the lottery pick.

I agree if the pick is 11-15 it won’t be a definite loss for Calgary. Disagree the deal will still work out of the asset we traded turns into a top 3 pick. Our organization has never picked that high but I doubt the pick is a lotto winner
