FWIW, I don't blame Ferland for botching those Monahan passes, but I also think that if it were Hudler there, he would have drained them both. So I don't blame Monahan for attempting those passes, and ideally Ferland improves and starts draining them, rather than Monahan stops attempting the passes.

Ferland is still young though. I think he's going to get better and better every year. This is still his first full year in a top six role (playing with top six guys). Look at Marchand, he's only gotten better every year. Some top six guys have played in that role longer, but have also improved very little (Frolik, for instance) but Ferland is not a guy that I believe has peaked even as far as this season goes.
