Was I pissed when Chicago got the loser point? Of course. Would a few avoided gaffs have avoided that? Sure.
But Chicago is Chicago. They had multiple great offensive threats and the Flames played well through the storms.
Between all 6D and Smith, they played very well against a good Chicago offence. Glass was also playing great. Positionally he was excellent, and he shut the door on a few great chances.
But most importantly we saw resilience. Chicago fights back from 3-0 and we held them off well. They managed to tie it, but it was more impressive on Chicago's part than embarassing on the Flames. Then in OT we saw them buckle up and get the W.
Chicago is a good team. This was a good game. Not everything can be a blowout. Sometimes leads are hard to hold against good teams - but they fought back each time and got the W.
This is something we should be happy about.

I think people aren't generally unhappy about the win itself, it's more the bigger picture and last night's win (nearly blew it) was lipstick on a pig. That's about as good as it gets and it's a matter of time before we lay an egg or fall flat. If posters don't like to read criticism (not directed at you) then probably best to stay away from the forums until there is a change or this team plays like they did last night and actuallyaccumulates some wins for an extended stretch.
