Brodie for RoR makes some sense. Flames add $3M in payroll
They can still make my proposed Pitt deal but then is RoR/Cole much better than Backlund/Brodie? I say that is a downgrade but at least the Flames would have a 1st round pick again

I would sooner part ways with Brodie than Hamilton.
For all the vitriol directed towards Treliving & GG, I'm amazed Brodie gets a free pass by most on this board. Aside from his two years with Gio & Hartley, he has hardly shown anything that would even suggest he is anything more than a good top 4 D. He has been brutal on the PP. can't shot, can't get shots through, has made a number of defensive blunders that have cost the team points.
Other than being a great skater, what else does he bring? Seems like a cheaper version of J Bouwmeester
