Nashville has Fiala, Arvidsson and Turris in their top 6 and none of them are big. Nashville has 3 dmen under 6'1 in their top 4.
Size is not an issue and is not a determinative factor for success in the modern NHL.

All of those teams have players that hate to lose. Size can be overcome, in some cases, by having players that compete hard. The Flames are lacking in this area, to say the least.
