Yeah, its a lot of cash, but the market is what it is.

Hes 25, if he improves or lives up to potential we could have the cornerstone of our Central Defence for the better part of the next decade.

Thats the hope. But yeah, its a lot of money but one of the things that I have a hard time doing is distancing my opinions and expectations of the player from the cost.

In England you have to do that because the rest of the World markets rake the EPL over the coals, they have to pay a huge premium, if he were British that price would have been double.

I'm glad I never became attached because it'd be hard for me to wanna keep watching them week in and out since there are other teams who play more attractively. There are definitely teams I enjoy watching more than others. Liverpool, for instance, are one of the teams I watch the most because they're fun going forward, and a trainwreck at the back (probably not for much longer) which means the entertainment value is always there. I like watching Spurs too, and of course Arsenal since I need to be abreast of what to expect on AFTV. Obviously though City are the most enjoyable to watch right now, but I like that if their football turns dire I can just ignore them.
That is a very interesting way to look at sports.
