As much as there's some fun in peddling Brodie off for a young potential forward star, it still doesn't address the fact that Toronto is looking for a RH defensive top 4 guy who can be a key on the PK.
As much as Brodie can sort of fit some of those criteria (plays on right side, all situations), they already have a similar guy in Gardiner. Strong skating, LH top 4 guy who can look great but also prone to incredibly mind blowing bone headed mistakes.
