Fair point, but I’m not so sure Hamonic sits at the higher end of defensemen. You are right that he seems more solid in his own zone but Brodie has shown he can handle the puck better. Hard to gauge Brodie’s value as he has looked so bad this year. If I could trade either Brodie or Hamonic back to the Islanders for those picks, I’d do it.
