I just don't understand how the breakouts/transition game can be so awful.

I can't help but compare them to teams like the Golden Knights (they moved the puck up ice seamlessly last night against the Capitals), who have a bunch of also-rans on D.

This is something that has to be on the coaches. Otherwise, our defensemen are just not very good players which I don't believe for a second.
