It was a lot more than just "without Rodgers" yesterday. That list of starters out or lost early in the game numbered 11, and several of those guys were replacements for the guys that started the season in their spots . Literally half of the team sans special team guys and particularly on the O-line and secondary. Defensively the team was actually really good with a number of important guys out.
That being said, I agree there needs to be some serious changes on the defensive side of the ball and a whole lot of internal looking at how they are preparing their guys physically. Thats 3 years of heavy injuries, both on the line and in the secondary. Seemingly way more than other teams over that span.
I'm hoping TT calls it a career this off season, though he probably stays one more and they will leave that up to him. Capers has to go though. His way just doesnt work anymore. They are far to vulnerable over the middle with the 3-4 set up which puts far too much pressure on the corners for big plays downfield because there outside rush guys...just dont get to the QB enough.
All that aside though, been a pretty good run the last decade. 9 straight seasons in the playoffs, 3 championship games, 1 SB win. Though it feels like they left a couple SB appearances on the table, the success of this team and coaching staff is second to only one in the league.
