Horsecrap. The guy is as genuine as they come. Year after year he does stuff like this, and wet blankets like you take the cynical point of view, assuming that because he records it and lets other people enjoy it, he's looking for credit. I really think you're missing the point here. He's allowing many, many more people to enjoy that spirit, just by watching it.
If this was a one off from someone like Terrell Owens, I'd understand your cynicism, but PK does stuff like this year in and year out. I just don't know how much more genuine you can get. Also, I heard PK's dad interviewed on QR a week or two ago, and I can see where PK's genuine humanity comes from. It was a really good interview. Very interesting, and very easy to see why PK is such a great guy, because his dad is too.
Maybe you don't like PK for some reason, like his flamboyance, but I think you're missing out on the goodwill he spreads. Sometimes, people just like to be nice. There's not always an ulterior motive. Not like the guy needs more fans or more money, because he's got millions of both.
