No, they don't. Certainly not as many slap-you-in-the-face bad ones. They also have what Rogue One had and what this didn't: a tight script.

Yeah, so this was a disappointment. To paraphrase the immortal Richard Jeni, they could have just titled this movie "Star Wars: Here's a Jedi, You're Stupid". It just constantly plays to the lowest common denominator. I've seen some people say that it's disappointment over not making the movie we wanted; I didn't really have any expectations about what should happen. Even within the movie's own narrative structure, while watching it, they'll make a decision and it'll be so obviously the wrong one that it slaps you right out of your immersion in the film.

Which isn't to say it was a terrible movie that I'll never watch again. It just wasn't very good, and they could have made basically the same movie a lot better.
