I would love Lazar start getting some reps on the PK. He is fast and gritty, and he was known for being good defensively. Wasn't Ottawa using him on the PK?
Lazar's offence hasn't been coming around (though he might end up being a good depth scorer). If he is going to find a permanent place on this team and actually contribute, it is going to start being on the PK. He is tenacious enough and has a non-stop motor - I would start getting him exposed to the PK. Him and Hathaway would be two guys I would like to start seeing there more.
I feel if a team isn't running enforcers on the 4th line (which they don't), then those 4th line guys have to be the guys on your PK, as well as provide energy and depth scoring.
I notice Brouwer actually making a number of solid plays defensively, and I can see why he is out there. However, he is also prone to stuff like last night. I would want Lazar to get some reps in - not PK1, but maybe PK 2 or even PK3.
