Even though Treliving was at the podium announcing names that 2014 draft was not his. Treliving has hired at the end of that year, therefore he did not instruct scouts in the early season meetings what kind of players he wanted.
Burke fired Feaster and Weisbrod in December and later on they had the amateur scouting meetings. This is when the GM outlines what kind of players he wants.
That's why you see big guys like Hunter Smith, Ollas Mattsson drafted by Burke and why you see in Treliving's drafts they would choose guys like Phillips and Mangiapane.
No disrepsect to Burke but he wanted the big guys and I think I read somewhere that they wouldn't be drafting 5'9" guys anymore.
2014 draft was all Burke's the later drafts are all Treliving and you can see the slight difference is philosphies (Treliving will take a shot on smaller guys but he likes a big team too),
