Nobody should be capping Jankowski's game just yet. Yes, he's 23, but he's the prototypical "late bloomer" so he should be treated more like a 20 year old in terms of development timeline. Similar to seeing Ferland breakout later because he started playing hockey later, Jankowski didn't sprout into his body until he was in his draft year, and he kept growing after that. It takes time to get used to that new frame.
Plus, Jankowski shows at each and every level that he can learn something new and improve. I wouldn't be shocked at all to see him improve substantially in the next 2 years. By 25, you probably have a nearly finished product, but even guys at that age click into a higher gear.
But even if all he ever turns into is what he currently is, well I'm just fine with that. The guy already contributes quite a bit to the lineup each and every night in all situations as a center. That's already a homerun pick for late in the 1st round.
