Nice to see him turn it around after a tough start to the season.

Tonight marked his first PP point of the season if I'm not mistaken.
Five on five? Among the group of players in the league with 300+ 5-on-5 minutes played, here are where Flames forwards rank in 5v5points/60 minutes:
1st Line Production (Top 93)
Gaudreau - 2.65 (16th)
Monahan - 2.44 (31st)
Bennett - 2.19 (57th)
2nd Line Production (top 186)
Jankowski - 1.97 (94th)
Ferland - 1.87 (115th)
Tkachuk - 1.58 (161st)
Backlund - 1.49 (173rd)
3rd Line Production (top 279)
(!!!!!!!!!!!) Brouwer - 1.14 (227th)
Frolik - 1.04 (242nd)
Jagr missed the ice time cutoff, but his 1.74 P/60 would rank around 2nd line production and Hathaway, in a small sample size, is the 5th most productive player in the league at 3.12 P/60 (...unsustainable, but that's okay)
Basically, if this team would just utilize its defensemen, we'd likely be a strong offensive team. The insistence on 3-on-5 offense is pretty frustrating, although tonight Giordano actually jumped into the play to some results which was a relief.
Now let's compare Sam to the 5v5 P/60 of his draftmates:
Draisaitl - 2.32
Pastrnak - 2.28
Bennett - 2.19
Larkin - 2.03
Ehlers - 1.8
Nylander - 1.61
Reinhart - 0.9
He's doing pretty well for himself, consideriing he's not playing with McDavid, or Marchand/Bergeron, or Matthews, or Laine.
